Annual Induction & Officer Installation

The Annual Induction and Officer Installation is held each year to welcome new students and community nurse leaders into the Nu Xi at Large and STTI communities.  A silent auction and sale of honor cords is scheduled before the event to raise funds for student scholarships.  Dr. Patricia Benner, Professor Ermeritus and former Thelma Shobe Endowed Chair in Ethics and at the University of California San Francisco, will be the keynote speaker. Author of numerous books, including Novice to Expert, Dr. Benner is an authority on skill acquisition, clinical decision making, and ethics.  She was previously the Director of a National Nursing Education Research Project under the auspices of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement in Teaching.

Members and guests are invited to the Ceremony.  Lunch may be purchased with an advance registration for $30.00.
